AFSCME Local 2334 has set up this site in order to more efficiently communicate with
the members. It is also intended to make it easier for members to communicate not only
with union officials but also with other members through the message board and contacts page.
Take some time to browse through the new site and see what we have to offer our members so far.
Remember we are always looking to improve our web site, if you or someone
you know has any suggestions towards features or content please feel free
to contact us and let us know your ideas.

Under your AFSCME contract and federal law, you are guaranteed certain rights to union representation. Know them. Use them.
-
You have a right to union representation, not a specific union representative, at any meeting with management which could possible result in disciplinary action against you.
-
Whenever you are called to a meeting with management, explicitly ask about the specific nature of the meeting.
-
Before beginning the meeting, or at any time that you believe the meeting is covering areas that might result in discipline, you must explicitly ask for union representation.
-
Prior to proceeding with the meeting, confer with your union representative and discuss the matters at issue in the meeting.
-
If you have any questions, ask your union representative.
